The Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Site is located in the Zhushan area of the center of Jingdezhen City,Jiangxi Province.The Palace Museum,Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology,and Jingdezhen Ceramic Archaeology Research Institute conducted proactive archaeological excavations on multiple sites of the Imperial Kiln Site from April to June in 2024.The site of southern side inside the western gate of the Imperial Kiln Site is located in the central western part of the Imperial Kiln Site,of which 80 square meters has been excavated.Relatively continuous deposit from the Ming Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty were excavated,and the remains of kilns,roads,workshops were discovered.A large number of porcelain and kiln utensils have been unearthed.This excavation provides new information for further understanding the production layout and situation of the Imperial Kiln.
