Joint burial tomb is an important part of the Imperial Mausoleums of the Western Han Dynasty,which is of great significance to the study of the Han dynasty burial system.Through combing relevant archaeological discovery and literature records,the development of the Joint Burial Tomb of the Western Han Dynasty and evolution process can be known.From the present discovery,Mao Mausoleum of Emperor Wudi earlier set up graveyards of joint burial tomb,Du Mausoleum of Emperor Xuandi began to build a large number of graveyards of joint burial tomb.Since then,the graveyards of joint burial tomb of Wei Mausoleums of Emperor Yuandi has been grade division,only a few graveyards of joint burial tomb have cemeteries,into the graveyards of joint burial tomb of Yan Mausoleums of Emperor Chengdi grade division is more detailed.The formation and evolution of the Graveyards of joint burial tomb,is related to the formulation of the harem hierarchy system in the middle and late Western Han Dynasty.The graveyards of joint burial tomb is known for its prevalence of partitioned yards,this kind of practice may come from Qin Mausoleum of the Warring States Period.
