Mahuiling Town in Chaisang District has a long history.The surrounding area centered on Qiaomailing Site preserves rich ancient cultural relics.Since 2022,based on the active excavation of the Qiaomailing Site,archaeological survey was carried out in the Lushan River basin,an eastern tributary of the upper reaches of the Boyang River.A number of important sites were discovered in this area,among them,the Miaogengdun Site is large and well preserved,its era is during Zhou Dynasty,filling the gap in this period of time in Northern Jiangxi.It provides important material for constructing the archaeological culture sequence of pre-Qin period in Jiangxi.
