Cantonese embroidery is one of the four famous embroideries in China,and Cantonese opera is an outstanding representative of Lingnan art and culture.The marriage of Cantonese embroidery and Cantonese opera produced Cantonese opera costumes.This paper starts from tracing the origin of Cantonese opera and describes the formation and development of Cantonese opera.Through the study of Yue Opera costumes,the paper shows the inextricable connections between Cantonese embroidery and Cantonese opera,and reveals the profound and unique mutual relationship of their mutual influence and mutual promotion;It is believed that Cantonese opera costume is the crystallization of the integration of Cantonese embroidery and Cantonese opera,and it is worthy of being a perfect artistic innovation result,which makes Guangdong embroidery and Cantonese opera develop together.In addition,both Cantonese embroidery and Cantonese opera are facing the challenge of inheritance and development,and some countermeasures are put forward at the end of the article.
