Effects of triple-therapy of tamsulosin hydrochloride, qianlie beixi and acupuncture on serum immune and inflammatory indexes in patients with type Ⅲ B chronic prostatitis
Aim To investigate the effects of triple-therapy of tamsulosin hydrochloride, qianlie beixi and acupuncture on serum immune and inflammatory indexes in patients with type Ⅲ B chronic prostatitis. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with type Ⅲ B chronic prostatitis were selected and randomly divided into the control group(tamsulosin hydrochloride+qian-lie beixi)and the triple-therapy group(tamsulosin hydrochloride+qianlie beixi+acupuncture). The two groups were compared in terms of clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome scores, the national institute of health-chronic prostatitis symptom index(NIH-CPSI)score,and the levels of serum immune indexes(immunoglobulin(Ig)A,IgM and IgG)and inflammatory indexes(tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-2,IL-8 and IL-10).Results After treatment, total effective rate in the triple therapy group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, there were decreases in TCM syndrome scores,NIH-CPSI scores,TNF-α,IL-2 and IL-8,and increases in IgA,IgM and IgG in both groups, and these effects were more obvious in the triple therapy group in comparison with control group(P<0.05).After treatment, there were increases in IL-10 levels in both groups(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The triple-therapy of tamsulosin hydrochloride, qianlie beixi and acupuncture is effective to treat patients with type Ⅲ B chronic prostatitis, which can significantly improve serum immune and inflammatory indexes.
