The effect of changyanning granules combined with mesalazine treatment on intestinal micro-flora,inflammatory factors,and UCEIS score in patients with ulcerative colitis
Aim To Explore the effects of changyanning granules combined with mesalazine on intestinal microbiota,inflam-matory factors,and ulcerative colitis endoscopic index of severity(UCEIS)in patients with ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods Ninety UC patients were selected and randomly divided into a control group(treated with mesalazine)and an observation group(treated with mesalazine+changyanning granules).The time of symptom disappearance,number of intestinal microbiota,levels of inflammatory factors,UCEIS and Mayo scores were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the disappearance time of symp-toms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of inflammatory factors,harmful bacteria,UCEIS,and Mayo scores were decreased in both groups,while the number of probiotics increased.The observation group was more significant than the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of changyanning granules and mesalazine can alleviate symptoms and severity of UC,regulate intestinal microbiota balance and reduce levels of inflammatory factors.
