Research progress on the adhesion protein P30 of Mycoplasma pneumoniae
Mycoplasma pneumoniae(Mp)is the main pathogen causing upper and lower respiratory tract infections in children, adolescents, and the elderly, which can cause pneumonia, pulmonary and extrapulmonary complications, and respiratory se-quelae.Mp adhesion protein P30,like P1 protein, plays an important role in infecting host cells. This article introduces the latest research progress of P30 protein from the aspects of its structure and subtypes, function, serological diagnosis, and vaccine develop-ment,providing reference for the diagnosis and prevention of Mp infection.
