Effects of Yiqi-pulse restoration method combined with endurance exercise training on cardiop-ulmonary exercise test parameters and serum NT-proBNP and sST2 in patients with HFpEF
Aim To observe the effects of Yiqi-pulse restoration method combined with endurance exercise training on car-diopulmonary exercise test parameters and serum N-terminal B-type brain natriuretic peptide precursor(NT-proBNP)and soluble growth-stimulated expressed gene 2 protein(sST2)in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(HFpEF).Meth-ods 95 patients with HFpEF were selected and divided into the training group(conventional medication+endurance exercise training)and the Yiqi-pulse rejuvenation group(conventional medication+endurance exercise training+Yiqi-pulse rejuvenation method).The differences in cardiopulmonary exercise test,heart rate variability,cardiac ultrasound indexes and serum NT-proBNP,sST2 and homo-cysteine(Hey)were compared between the two groups.Results Compared with the pre-treatment,peak oxygen consumption,anaerobic threshold,mean squared deviation of adjacent NNs,percentage of NN50 to NN interval,and peak mitral annular velocity in early diastole were increased in both groups,and these parameters were higher in the Yiqi-pulse rejuvenation group compared with the training group(P<0.05).Left atrial volume index,ratio of maximal velocity of mitral inflow in early diastole in the left ventricle to the peakmitral annular velocity in early diastole,slope of minute ventilation to carbon dioxide output,and left ventricular mass index were increased in the two groups,serum NT-proBNP,sST2,and Hey were all reduced,and the Yiqi-pulse rejuvenation group was low-er than the training group(P<0.05).Conclusion The Yiqi-pulse restoration method combined with endurance exercise training improves left ventricular diastolic function,reduces serum NT-proBNP and sST2 levels,and improves cardiopulmonary exercise toler-ance and heart rate variability in patients with HFpEF.
