lhe correlation between serum cytokine and T cell immune function levels and Mayo stratifi-cation in patients with multiple myeloma
Aim To investigate the correlation between serum cytokine and T cell immune function levels and Mayo stratifi-cation and prognosis in patients with multiple myeloma. Methods 80 patients with multiple myeloma were divided into high-risk group(18 cases),medium risk group(38 cases),and standard risk group(24 cases)according to Mayo stratification. The levels of serum interleukin-6(IL-6),IL-8,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,and NK cells in each group of patients were compared.Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation be-tween IL-6,IL-8,TNF-α,VEGF,NLR,CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,NK,CD4+/CD8+levels and Mayo stratification and prognosis. Results The results showed that there were significant differences(P<0.05)in the levels of serum IL-6,IL-8,TNF-α,VEGF,CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,and CD4+/CD8+among patients with different Mayo stratification;IL-6,IL-8,TNF-α,and VEGF in patients with multiple myeloma were positively correlated with Mayo stratification(P<0.05);The serum cytokines of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+in pa-tients with multiple myeloma were negatively correlated with prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusion Mayo stratification can predict prog-nosis,and dynamic monitoring of serum related cytokines and immune function can help evaluation of the condition and prognosis.
