The effects of hyperbaric oxygen on neurological function recovery, serum VEGF,Ang-2,and NSE in ACI patients
Aim To investigate the effects of hyperbaric oxygen on acute cerebral infarction(ACI)and its effects on serum vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),angiopoietin-2(Ang-2),neurospecific enolase(NSE),soluble cell adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1)and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1).Methods 130 ACI patients were randomly divided into observa-tion group(n=66)and control group(n=64)by randomized number table method. The control group was given routine treatment, while the observation group was given hyperbaric oxygen therapy on the basis of the control group. The neurological function(national institute of health stroke scale(NIHSS))and life ability(activity of daily living(ADL)),the levels of VEGF,Ang-2,NSE,sICAM-1,MCP-1,cerebral blood flow velocity(CBF)and cerebral blood flow volume(CBV)and so on were measured before and after treat-ment.Results The curative effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the parameters before treatment, the NIHSS score,NSE,sICAM-1,and MCP-1 in both groups were decreased after treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).ADL score,CBF,CBV,VEGF,and Ang-2 were increased, and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has a good effect on ACI,which can significantly improve cerebral vascular perfusion, promote the recovery of neurological function, improve quality of life, serum vascular endothelial growth factor,Ang-2 and other indicators.
