The Challenges of Mechanisms in the Construction of Marine Protected Areas in China and Suggestions for Improvement
The construction of marine protected areas plays an important role in protecting marine ecological environment,maintaining biodiversity and consolidating marine sovereignty,and has become one of the most effective marine governance tools.Under the background of ecological civilization con-struction,China's marine protected areas have made remarkable progress after years of development.How-ever,at present,the contradiction between marine development and utilization and marine protection in China is still outstanding,which is mainly reflected in the overall layout planning,management mecha-nism,capital investment and the shortcomings of laws and regulations system of protected areas.There-fore,under the guidance of the concept of marine sustainable development,we should optimize the plan-ning and layout of marine protected areas,improve the coordination of management mechanism,increase capital investment,and improve relevant laws and regulations to build a more perfect marine protected ar-ea system,which will provide a solid guarantee for steadily promoting the construction of marine ecological civilization in China.
