Cultivation of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Core Competencies for Vocational College Students
Innovation and entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions is an important component of China's innovation-driven development strategy and a crucial approach to promoting higher education reform and improving the quality of talent cultivation.The integration of innovation and entrepreneurship with core competencies in education enables students to acquire the professional knowledge,key abilities,and essential qualities needed for personal entrepreneurship and the development of an innovative country.However,in many vocational colleges,innovation and entrepreneurship education and the cultivation of core competencies are still fragmented and treated in isolation.Based on this,this paper analyzes the connotation of core competencies in innovation and entrepreneurship for vocational college students and identify the specific components that include the knowledge layer,ability layer,and quality layer.It is observed that the development of these layers progresses from lower to higher levels,with increasing difficulty in cultivation.To cultivate the core competencies in innovation and entrepreneurship among vocational college students,attention should be paid to three paths:strengthening the knowledge layer by enhancing the day-to-day management of innovation and entrepreneurship education,building a solid ability layer by exerting the multi-agent collaborative effects of innovation and entrepreneurship education,and elevating the quality layer by integrating innovation and entrepreneurship education into"Three Comprehensive Education".
