Three Dilemmas of Discipline Boundaries of Ideological and Political Education
The discipline of ideological and political education has made remarkable achievements in its 40 years on the fast track of development,becoming a"prominent study"of ideology with Chinese dimensions,characteristics,and styles.However,alongside its rapid development,this discipline has gradually revealed issues such as a relatively vague scope,a lack of standardized methods,and the dislocation of discipline functions,which have blurred the clarity of discipline boundaries of ideological and political education to a certain extent and have impacted and constrained the further development of foundational theories as well as the in-depth exploration and resolution of cutting-edge challenges within the field.Therefore,revealing the dilemmas faced by the discipline of ideological and political education is not only beneficial for clarifying the realistic problems related to the discipline boundaries and solidifying the entry points for boundary research,but also contributes to constructing a direction for researching these boundaries and promoting the development of foundational theories in the discipline.
