Establishment on volatile organic compounds(VOCs)profiles of gasoline and diesel vehicles under different emission standards
Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are critical precursors for ozone and secondary organic aerosols, among which on-road mobile source is one of the significant contributors to atmospheric VOCs in China.Based on a review of literature, this study summarizes the methods for the establishing VOCs profiles for on-road mobile source in China, including both direct measurement method and integrated method.Considering that the current emission standards for VOCs from on-road mobile source have evolved to differentiate based on fuel, this study describes the VOCs profiles from gasoline and diesel vehicles under different emission standards, highlighting the limitations of existing source profiles.By comparing the differences between measurement-based and integration-based VOCs from on-road mobile source,it is recommended to establish a unified sampling and analysis method, and update the existing source profile databases for on-road mobile source VOCs.
