Ecological culture is a culture with ecological values as its"soul".Ecological values can be summarized as two points.First,the non-human natural objects have their own value;second,man and nature together form a community of life.Anthropocentrism and reductionism are immensely persistent ideological barriers to the penetration of ecological values.Anthropocentrism and reductionism must be rejected in order to construct ecological culture.Environmental ethics offers a systematic critique of anthropocentrism.Quantum physics and complexity science,including ecology,provide the scientific basis to refute anthropocentrism and reductionism.Vulgar materialism misunderstands the relationship between economy and culture.The material wealth brought by industrial civilization provides social conditions for us to correctly understand the relationship between economy and culture.The construction of ecological culture is of fundamental importance to the promotion of ecological civilization.Ecological culture directly advocates a fundamental change in mindset,and it is only when people change their mindset that they will be motivated to engage in various specific matters of ecological civilization promotion.
