"Fossil capitalism"basically means the lifeblood of the capitalist economy,the power valve of the bourgeoisie to maintain the survival of its rule,and the cause of the entry of the Earth system into the Anthropocene.The main features are the anti-ecological"nature"of the logic of capital,the"fossil imperialist"expansion,the fissures in the global metabolism and the export of war.In response to fossil capitalism,Ian Angus proposes to incorporate the ideas of the"Green Left",to improve the applicability of ecological conservation programs,to be a committed internationalist and anti-imperialist,and to encourage public participation in ecological development.This provides us with new perspectives to understand the new features of contemporary capitalism,but there are also obvious limitations:the disconnection between discourse and practice,the singularity of observation perspectives,and the neglect of the specific responsibilities of citizens,etc.,and its corresponding countermeasures are suspended from reality.
