The Influence of Ageing Development on the Health Transition in China
This study investigated the ageing process in China and its impact on health transition based on the data from World Population Prospects 2022,the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 and World Health Or-ganization Mortality Database by using decomposition analysis method. The results show that the ageing time in China is relatively late, but the ageing rate is relatively fast, and the population ageing has become an irre-versible trend.During the period of double-increasing population ageing, the crude death rate from communi-cable diseases and injuries has declined, but that from non-communicable diseases has increased, and at a faster rate than other countries.Population ageing has increased the burden of diseases, and crude death rate from different causes would show an increasing trend, facing the dual burden of communicable diseases and non-communicable diseases in the future in China.
