The Impact of Social Support Networks on Bridging the Digital Divide for the Elderly
In the process of social digital transformation promoted by big data,artificial intelligence and other technologies,the problem of digital divide for the elderly has become increasingly prominent.Based on the data of the 2018 China Elderly Social Tracking Survey,this paper analyzes the effect of social support network on bridging the digital divide for the elderly and the role of self-efficacy mechanisms.It is found that the age,edu-cation background and income of the elderly significantly affect the digital divide,especially the digital access gap in the digital society.The social support network can effectively bridge the digital divide for the elderly,and the family support network has the greatest bridging effect,while the community support network has the least bridging effect.Mechanism analysis shows that self-efficacy positively regulates the relationship between social support network and elderly digital gap bridging,and self-efficacy has the greatest effect on community support network to bridge the elderly digital gap.it is necessary to strengthen the intergenerational digital feeding within the family,encourage the elderly to help each other,and further the community digital support.
