Relationship between Subjective Social Status,Social Resources and Sense of Happiness of Young People:Moderating Effect of Expected Social Mobility
Based on the 2021 data of the Comprehensive Survey of Social Conditions in China, young people aged 18-45 are selected to study the relationship between subjective social status, social resources and sense of happiness by using binary Logistic regression, and the moderating role of expected social mobility is tested by grouping regression. It is found that,in general, the decline of subjective social status will lead to young people's unhappiness, and expected social mobility will mitigate the effect. The grouping analysis shows that in young people with fewer social resources,a decline in subjective social status will lead to unhappiness, and expected social mobility will mitigate the negative impact;in young people with more social resources,a de-cline in subjective social status will have no impact on their happiness, and the moderating effect of expected social mobility is not significant. Therefore, special attention should be paid to young people in rural areas, with low education levels and low incomes, and relevant policies should be formulated to enhance their upward mobility expectations and ensure that young people with fewer social resources can also share the fruits of so-cial reform and development.
