Research on the Evolution of Fertility Concept in China and Its Transformation and Development in the New Era
Guiding the broad masses to have a correct understanding of the fertility issue,to recognize and ac-cept the new fertility concepts of active fertility,age-appropriate fertility,moderate fertility,and good fertility is an important ideological foundation for stimulating people's enthusiasm for fertility and promoting the realiza-tion of an appropriate level of fertility.The evolution of fertility concept in China over thousands of years can be roughly divided into three stages:traditional fertility concept,family-planning fertility concept,age-appro-priate and moderate fertility concept.The concept of fertility in the new era includes active fertility,age-ap-propriate fertility,moderate fertility,good fertility and male participation.It is necessary to promote a family atmosphere of respecting the elderly and caring for the young,harmony between husband and wife and harmo-ny between generations,and create a social atmosphere of advocating family and national feelings,gender e-quality and respect for fertility.Further theoretical research is needed to establish scientific concepts of popu-lation development,marriage and family,fertility values,and the optimal age for marriage and fertility,to im-prove the laws and regulations for the transformation of concepts,protect women's rights,improve fertility ben-efits,and expand the scope of fertility support,to give full play to the guiding role of correct marriage and love concept,new family culture and new fertility culture,to strengthen organizational leadership,security work,financial support,evaluation and supervision,and to ensure the effectiveness of the construction and publicity of the new era fertility culture,and to promote the healthy development of the new era fertility culture.
