"Fluidity"is a common feature of modern families and family education in China.It encom-passes the changes in the family's life cycle and its residence,the complexity and diversity of parent-child structure and spousal structure,the transformation and deformation of family relations,and the evolution of family functions.On the one hand,families adapt to the changes of social economic and cultural structure and are in a state of flux;on the other hand,families serve as safe havens against so-cial changes and their associated risks.Under the dual force of separation and combination,families exhibit the characteristics of a"point-network"complex.The modern families are becoming light and mobile,but they do not dissipate or scatter.Not only the way of observing and understanding family education but also the policy of governing and supporting it should be in line with the fluidity of modern families and promptly come into play.
