The study of characters is closely related to the study of language,especially the re-search results of cognitive linguistics have a certain guiding effect on the study of characters.This paper analyzes the role of the theories of cognitive linguistics,such as the whole perception of cate-gories,the similarity of families,context-dependent,and the reanalysis,in the study of characters in the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties.The purpose is to reveal more deeply the theoret-ical rule of the evolution of characters.
