Wang Pengyun and Zheng Wenzhuo were famous ci-poets and scholars in the late Qing Dynasty.They discussed the study of ci-poetry and had deep friendship.Due to the lack of historical materials,there has never been a more comprehensive and rich understanding of the de-tails about their communication in ci-poetry studies.Fortunately,we have found four letters from Wang Pengyun to Zheng Wenzhuo,which contain important information such as their biographies and the collation of Wu Wenying's ci poems.These letters present the vivid picture of academic exchanges among scholars in the late Qing Dynasty,and have high value in ci-poetry studies.
