The concept of"redress"in Seamus Heaney's poetry is profoundly manifested through the metaphor of the bog in his works.Heaney employs the metaphor of the bog to conduct a deep analysis and critique of contemporary poetic narrative paradigms.The linguistic structures and"redress"strategies used in his bog poems reveal his understanding of the functional interven-tion of poetry and his innovative perception of its essence.This innovation constructs a mechanism of"redress"between the primary and secondary meanings.Furthermore,the third meaning of"re-dress"is reflected not only in Heaney's distinction between technique and craft but also in his per-spective of treating poetry as a tool for theoretical inquiry,thus achieving a fusion of emotion and knowledge on a higher perceptual level.Seamus Heaney's theoretical expansion of the concept of"redress"undoubtedly offers new research perspectives for poetry studies and literary theory.This profound approach has brought enlightening analytical methods for the construction of contempo-rary literary theory.
