Tao Xingzhi regarded the innovation and change of higher education as his own responsibility.In the long-term exploration and practice,he gradually established the goal of social innovation through education,deter-mined to cultivate social talents to serve the people,and at the same time,with the help of experimentalist change methodology,he founded the Chongqing Social University,a local university system;operated the management mode of university students'self-rule;eliminated the women's enrollment restriction of the university;and reversed the fixed-form university curriculum system.Tao Xingzhi's activities of change in higher education have gradually matured with the refinement of his ideas,which are inspirational for today's higher education in China to promote curriculum reform,create a first-class faculty,establish a democratic management system,and help to create a Chinese model for the development of higher education.
