In order to expand the influence of Chinese classical literature in the world,this paper analyzes the methods of translating core terms in Chinese classical literature,taking the English translation of Tang poetry,Song Ci and Yuan Qu as examples.Firstly,it introduces Chinese classical literature and the necessity of translating the core terms into English.Secondly,it introduces the key points in English translation of Tang poetry,Song Ci and Yuan Qu,and puts forward some suggestions on the best English translation.Finally,the author puts forward the strategies of translating the core terms of Chinese classical literature from the aspects of cooperation and communica-tion between the subjects and understanding the needs of the target audience.Through the analysis of Tang poetry,Song Ci and Yuan Qu,this paper clarifies the value of Chinese classical literature,with a view to providing refer-ence for the translation of literary works in the future.
