Comparative Study on the Accessibility and Spatial-equity of High-speed Rail of Three Urban Agglomerations in China
The impact of high-speed rail networks on accessibility varies among different urban agglomerations, and the characteristics of spatial-equity will be significant differences.Comparative analysis between urban agglomera-tions is essential. This article taked the three major urban agglomerations of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Delta,Yangtze-river Delta, and Pearl-river Delta as examples.Based on accessibility methods,it analyzed the differences in acces-sibility patterns and spatial-equity.The results showed that:(1)There are significant differences in the level and pattern of accessibility. The relative accessibility of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Delta forms an isolated-island pattern; The relative accessibility of Pearl-river Delta shows a circular layered pattern; The relative accessibility of Yangtze-river Delta shows a multi-center pattern.(2)The difference of overall spatial-equity is very significant, with Yan-gtze-river Delta higher than Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Delta and Pearl-river Delta.(3)The differences of relative spa-tial-equity is also significant.Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Delta and Yangtze-river Delta have more weak-equal cities, while Pearl-river Delta has more powerful-equal cities;Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Delta exhibits axial symmetry,Yan-gtze-river Delta shows axial belt segmentation, and Pearl-river Delta presents a circular characteristic. The compar-ative study will provide ideas for optimizing the high-speed rail network in urban agglomerations and implementing the spatial development strategy of urban agglomerations.
