On the reasons for the survival of the civil post bureau after 1934:Centering on remittances of overseas Chinese
After the Ministry of Communications ordered the Civil Post Bureau to be aboli-shed by the end of 1934,they no longer existed in most provinces. In southern China, especially in Fujian and Guangdong provinces, which are famous for their business of"overseas Chinese remittance",the Civil Post Bureau still exist, mainly due to their economic contribution of"overseas Chinese remittance"in wartime environment, their unique advantages and the political support of overseas Chinese in history. However, due to the fact that the Civil Post Bureau is not within the financial system regulated by the state, there have been problems such as the backlog of overseas Chinese remittances and the black market of overseas Chinese remittances, which seriously damage the interests of overseas Chinese and their families, and bring huge risks to the national financial system.Ultimately, the ban has become a historical inevitability.
