Digital infrastructure construction and enterprise green innovation:A quasi natural experiment based on"Broadband China"strategy
Using the"Broadband China"strategy as a quasi-natural experiment,based on data from A-share listed companies in China from 2009 to 2021,the impact and mechanism of digital infrastructure construction on corporate green innovation were evaluated using asymptotic double difference method.The research results indicate that the construction of digital infras-tructure can significantly promote the improvement of green innovation level in enterprises,and the conclusion has passed robustness tests such as parallel trend test and placebo test.Hetero-geneity analysis found that the construction of digital infrastructure has a stronger driving effect on green innovation for state-owned enterprises,mature enterprises,and non-heavy polluting enterprises.The results of the mechanism verification indicate that the construction of digital infrastructure mainly assists enterprises in green innovation through three channels:promoting digital transformation of enterprises,promoting the development of digital finance,and improving the quality of information disclosure.The research conclusion can provide reference for further promoting the implementation of national strategies such as building a strong cyber nation and achieving green development.
