Since its founding in 1934,Nanjing Medical University has embraced the pioneering spirit and explored"uncharted territory"in the fields of basic medicine,public health and preventive medicine,clinical medicine,and even traditional Chinese medicine,achieving numerous domestic and international"firsts".Relieved human suffering and facilitated perfect health,embodies a sense of historical mission and responsibility in serving the nation through medicine and advancing the country through science and technology.On the 90th anniversary of the founding of the university,this paper attempts to summarize and review its history,motivating teachers and students to aspire to serve the country,to acquire new knowledge,and create a new future.The aim is to accelerate the establishment of a"Double First-Class"medical university with distinctive characteristics and to better serve the strategies of a Healthy China and a strong educational nation.
