Updates in lung transplantation for connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease
Lung transplantation has become a crucial treatment option for patients with end-stage lung disease. In recent years, the number of patients with interstitial lung disease(ILD)undergoing lung transplantation has been steadily increasing, with the majority of these cases involving idiopathic interstitial pneumonia. However, connective tissue disease-related interstitial lung disease(CTD-ILD)also presents a significant number of patients with end-stage lung disease who meet the criteria for lung transplantation.Despite this, due to the involvement of multiple organs and the complexity of perio-perative management,CTD-ILD remains one of the major challenges in the field of lung transplantation. This article reviews recent advancements in lung transplantation for CTD-ILD,aiming to provide relevant information on recipient selection and perioperative management for clinicians.
