From Longevity to Health:Theory and Practice of Population Health with Chinese Characteristics
Under the dual influence of demographic and health transition,China has entered the era of longevity.Population health,as an important component of national strategy and competitiveness,has a profound and far-reaching effects on national economic and social development.The research on population health with Chinese characteristics is based on Marxist health theory and traditional Chinese culture,adhering to the development concept of putting the people at the center,and continuously enriching and improving in practice.By comparing the characteristics of demo-graphic and health transitions in China,the United States,and Japan,it is found that they have commonalities and pecu-liarities in achieving population health.Therefore,the path to achieving population health with Chinese characteristics lies in fully leveraging the active roles of individuals,families,society,and the state in the field of population health.This highlights the Healthy China Strategy and the Active Response to Population Aging Strategy as important strategic tools,tapping into the health dividends of the era of longevity,and achieving high-quality development of the population.
