Monetary Research from a Sociological Perspective and Contemporary Issues:Sociological Reflections on China's Digital Payments
Monetary units are one of the most important inventions in human society,profoundly influencing the course of history and the organization of society.Currently,the"monetary revolution"represented by digital currency and mobile payments is becoming a key force shaping social development,raising urgent questions that sociology must address.Given this,systematically reviewing sociological research on monetary units can extract three research ap-proaches:"the special commodity","cultural code",and"vital object".This helps outline the specific aspects of mon-etary units as a sociological research subject and uncover its theoretical implications.Additionally,analyzing monetary units from the dimensions of"overall formation of monetary units"and"monetary units'ideographic mechanism"fa-cilitates sociological theoretical development,allowing us to grasp the new monetary cognitions,practices,and social consequences emerging in China's monetary revolution.
