Common prosperity is the essential provision and fundamental requirement of socialism. In the new stage of e-conomic development, how to promote common prosperity has become an important issue facing China's economic and social de-velopment.Based on the unbalanced panel data from three consecutive rounds of China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)in 2014,2016,and 2018,this study empirically tests the impact of human capital in ethnic regions on common prosperity, and constructs a mediation effect model to analyze its mechanism of action.Research has found that, firstly, human capital in ethnic regions can significantly improve the level of common prosperity, and has a positive effect on material and spiritual prosperity, but it cannot yet promote the development of social sharing;Secondly, entrepreneurial activity plays a mediating role between human capital and common prosperity, and an increase in entrepreneurial activity enhances the level of common prosperity;Thirdly, upgrading industrial structure is also an important path for human capital in ethnic regions to promote the construction of common prosperity. The continuous promotion of human capital construction in ethnic regions will inject lasting momentum into the construction of common prosperity by stimulating entrepreneurial vitality and optimizing industrial structure.
