Criticism from Karl Marx to John Stuart Mill on the Distribution Theory and Its Methodological Significance
The Introduction to the Outline of Critique of Political Economy contains rich theoretical thoughts,in which Karl Marx examined the dialectical relationship between the four links of production as a whole.Among them,on the issue of the rela-tionship between production and distribution, bourgeois economists represented by John Stuart Mill metaphysically separated the relationship between production and distribution, regarding production as the law of nature and distribution as the law of society. It is on the basis of criticizing and sublating John Mill's view of distribution that Karl Marx clarified the dialectical relationship be-tween production and distribution based on the materialist dialectics, and grasped that production and distribution are the internal elements unified in the overall production through a holistic approach, thus realizing a transcendence of John Mill. The methodol-ogy highlighted by Marx in the process of political economy criticism is of great significance to guide the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
