Editors of academic journals bear the responsibility of inheriting historical and humanistic genes,disseminating correct knowledge and carrying forward the spirit of assiduous study.Being meticulous,practical and and realistic is the most basic requirement.Editing refers to both the vocation and the people engaged in it.As the vocation,editing requires meticulous-ness,accuracy,and perfection.As the editors,they should equip with a serious attitude and diverse methods.An editors can al-ways learn new things from daily reading and editing work.The Chapter of Zi Han in the Analects of Confucius records that Con-fucius has been entirely free from four things,namely,"no supposition(WU YI,毋意),no predetermination(WU BI,毋必),no obstination(WU GU,勿固),and no self-assertion(WU WO,毋我)",which provides principles for editors when they are dealing with the editing work.
