"Hutu Geqin"is a folk song and dance performance originating from Ulan Zhao village,Sali Bar township,Aohan Banner,Chifeng City,Inner Mongolia,during the lunar January,with a history of over 200 years.It continues to be transmitted locally mainly through folk entertainment and ethnic traditional culture.Designated as an autonomous region-level intangible cultural heritage project in Inner Mongolia in 2007,"Hutu Geqin"has been the subject of empirical research based on previous field investigations by experts and scholars.However,with the development of the times and changes in the social and cultural environment,this article focuses on investigating and analyzing the current development status of"Hutu Geqin"as an autonomous region-level intangible cultural heritage project,and examines new issues arising in its inheritance and expansion.Based on the author's recent two field investigations,the article reviews and analyzes various problems encountered by the"Hutu Geqin"intangible cultural heritage project,offering insights and emphasizing the gradual improvement of mechanisms for inheritance and innovation,and the attention needed for the survival environment of intangible cultural heritage projects.This effort aims to ensure the smooth inheritance and development of excellent traditional Chinese culture,including the"Hutu Geqin"project,in future protection and development efforts.
