Film and theater,as two closely related forms of art,have drawn attention to the phenomenon of mutual inspiration between film directors and theater directors in their processes of creation.This paper aims to elucidate the importance of literary quality in the creative endeavors of directing in these two art forms through three main sections.Whether in the realm of theater or film,directors need to emphasize literary quality,as it forms the essence of theatrical performances,determining their intellectual depth and artistic character.Secondly,theatricality is an inherent attribute of dramatic art and an indispensable element in narrative art.Literature and film art similarly possess theatricality,with important components including"action,""situation,""conflict,"and"suspense,"constituting the essence of theatricality.This paper explores how directors apply and draw inspiration from these elements in both film and theater.The role of action in both theatrical and film art is significant,and the third part of this paper discusses the intrinsic laws of action and how directors and actors should organize effective and precise actions to achieve creative success.
