Identity Production and Class Mobility of Contemporary Young College Students——A Virtual Ethnographic Study based on the Phenomenon of Kong Yiji Literature
Kong Yiji Literature is a subcultural catchphrase generated by contemporary young col-lege students imitating Kong Yiji's quotations, reflecting the social situation and mentality of young peo-ple.Using the method of virtual ethnography, taking the social media platform as the research field, and obtaining data through participant observation and online interview, the research finds:the identity production of college students is achieved through the influence of family education expectations, school training models, and mental space reveries. However, due to factors such as class cultural divide, social capital differences, and risk of educational mismatch, the function of educational qualifications to pro-mote upward mobility of the class has become increasingly weakened.Due to the loss of original habits and the high cost of urbanization, young college students are faced with dual de-embedding in the origi-nal field and urban society, resulting in a class suspension mentality of internal and external imbalance. Therefore, how to break the structural dilemmas implied by the long gown is a key measure to respond to the identity production and class mobility of young college students.
