It has been found that flavonoids can effectively reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.The mechanism of flavonoids in the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases mainly includes scav-enging free radicals,regulating anti-inflammatory factors and relaxing blood vessels.In recent years,the research on new deliv-ery system of flavonoids has attracted the attention of many scholars.In this paper,the related mechanisms of flavonoids in the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases were summarized,and the research progress of its new delivery system was reviewed in order to provide reference for the better development and utilization of flavonoids.
