Objective To investigate the imaging characteristics of ultrasound elastography in different types of plasma cell mastitis. Methods A total of 90 patients diagnosed with plasmacytic mastitis who under-went routine ultrasonography and ultrasound elastography in our hospital from December 2020 to October 2022 were selected.According to the ultrasonography classification, each type of ultrasonography,BI-RADS classi-fication and elastic imaging score were analyzed. Results Among the 90 PCM patients, there were 18 cases(20.00%)of PCM with dilated catheter,32 cases(35.56%)of PCM with mixed cyst and solid mass and 40 cases(44.44%)of PCM.A total of 28 cases(31.11%)of PCM patients in class Ⅳ+class Ⅴ were determined by routine ultrasound, and 10 cases(11.11%)of PCM patients with ultrasound elasticity score of 4+5 were determined by routine ultrasound, with significant difference and statistical significance(x2=7.000,P<0.05).Ultrasound elasticity imaging could significantly improve the detection rate of benign lesions in breast patients. Conclusion Different types of plasma cell mastitis have different elastography characteristics.Elastography is valuable in differentiating mass plasma cell mastitis from invasive ductal carcinoma.
