Objective To investigate the application value of perioperative analgesia with wrist and ankle acupuncture in patients with total hip replacement and its effect on pain factors and stress levels. Methods A to-tal of 102 patients who underwent elective total hip replacement in our department from August 2020 to August 2022 were divided into two groups by lottery.51 patients in the control group received perioperative routine pain intervention, while 51 patients in the observation group received combined analgesic intervention with wrist and ankle acupuncture on the basis of routine pain intervention. The levels of stress hormones and inflammatory pain factors at the end of 7 days after surgery were compared between the two groups. Results The patients with mild pain at T1,T2,T3 and T4 in observation group were more than those in control group, and the patients with severe pain were less than those in control group. At the end of 7 days after surgery, the levels of nore-pinephrine(NE),cortisol(Cor),Substance P(SP)and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the levels of βendorphin(β-EP)were higher than thosein control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Analgesic intervention assisted by wrist and ankle acupuncture during perioperative period of total hip replacement can effectively regulate the levels of stress hormones and pain factors in patients, rapidly and effectively reduce the degree of postoperative pain in patients, and is worth popularizing.
