The Relationship Between the Level of Inflammatory Factors and Prognosis in Patients with Sepsis
Objective To investigate the relationship between the level of inflammatory factors and prog-nosis in patients with sepsis. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 100 patients diagnosed with sepsis admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College from October,2021 to October,2022.According to whether the patients survived 28 days after admission, they were divided into death group and sur-vival group, with 50 cases in each group.Relevant data of all subjects were collected:Age,sex, history of hy-pertension,history of diabetes, blood routine, coagulation function, liver function, procalcitonin(PCT),and C-reactive protein(CRP)results were compared. Results Analysis by SPSS 25.0 software showed that the white blood cell count(WBC),neutrophils(NEU),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),prothrombin time(PT),PCT and CRP of patients in the death group were significantly higher than those in the survival group, with sta-tistical significance(P<0.05).The other indexes were compared between the two groups. The differences(Age,sex, history of hypertension and diabetes, and lymphocyte count)were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Multi-factor Logsitic regression analysis was performed, and the area under ROC curve,PT,PCT,LDH and WBC were 0.732,0.714,0.704 and 0.681,respectively.Conclusion Age,sex, history of hyper-tension and diabetes, and lymphocyte count were not correlated with the prognosis of sepsis patients.PT,PCT,LDH,and WBC were independent risk factors for death in sepsis patients.LDH,PT,and PCT were all effec-tive in predicting death, with PT>PCT>LDH.WBC was less effective in predicting death. The combined de-tection of PT,PCT and LDH has a certain reference value in judging the prognosis of patients with sepsis.
