The Design and Consideration of Test Cell for Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine
Hydrogen,as an alternative to traditional carbon-based fuels,is an attractive option for eliminating CO2 emissions from in-ternal combustion engines. Thanks to the promotion of hydrogen energy policies in various countries, the research and development of hydrogen fuel internal combustion engines has grown rapidly, and the corresponding testing needs have become increasingly important. However, due to the activity of hydrogen and the safety risks it poses, special considerations are needed in the design and safety of hy-drogen fuel cell engine laboratories. This article focuses on the working principle of hydrogen fuel internal combustion engines and the current industrial development status, summarizing the requirements for the following key subsystems in the construction of hydrogen fu-el internal combustion engine test labs:intake air conditioning system, hydrogen supply system, exhaust gas and smoke exhaust sys-tem,full-room air conditioning system, and safety monitoring system.Based on a comprehensive analysis of technical requirements and safety specifications, this article proposes an innovative design scheme for hydrogen fuel internal combustion engine test chambers, which covers system design, risk assessment, and safety strategy analysis.
