In this paper,a novel evaluation method is introduced for diesel detergent synergist based on ener-gy saving and emission reduction effect.The reduction rate of pollutant emissions and the fuel consumption and the rising rate of the torque are chosen as the indicator for the evaluation of diesel detergent synergist.Based on the bench test,the setup and the experimental condition,the testing condition and the evaluation contents are systematically introduced.Some experiments are performed for the feasibility investigation of the effect of energy saving and emission reduction of 9 diesel detergent synergists commercially available.The results indicate that the developed evaluation method is feasible for evaluating the effect of energy saving and emission reduction of diesel detergent synergists with the advantages of distinguishability,repeatability and high efficiency.The ob-tained results will provide support for the improvement of the evaluation method.
