Experimental Study on Effect of Purge Rate on Desorption Performance of Vehicle Carbon Canister
This study compared and analyzed the carbon canister purge data of hybrid and fuel vehicles in the high temperature driving phase of the China National Ⅵ evaporative emission test,and found that hybrid vehicles can compensate for the lack of purge time by increasing the carbon canister purge rate during the medium and high speed driving.Therefore,five different purge rates of 5,15,25,35 and 45 L/min were tested on the car-bon canister test system to further quantify the effect of purge rate on the desorption performance of the carbon canister.The experimental results showed that the desorption efficiency of the carbon canister decreased with the de-crease of the carbon canister load and increased with the increase of the pruge rate.Based on the analysis of the National VI test standard,35 L/min is the most suitable for the purge of the test carbon canister among the five rates.
