Study on Measuring Methods and Influencing Factors of Particulate Matter Emission from Brake Wear
With the tightening of vehicle emission regulations and standards year by year, exhaust emissions are reduced. In contrast,non-exhaust emissions have become one of the primary sources of urban air pollutants, among which brake wear particles account for a relatively large proportion of non-exhaust emissions.Based on this, this paper summarizes the measurement methods and influencing factors of brake wear particles, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the test methods of brake inertia test bench, chassis dynamometer and whole vehicle, and expounds the influencing factors of brake wear process from the aspects of brake pad material,fric-tion structure, critical temperature, brake speed and brake load.It plays an important role in the further study of the emission of brake wear particles and the development of relevant standards and regulations.
