Dynamics Analysis of Bevel Gear Transmission with Consideration of Out-of-Mesh Engagement in Variable Speed Conditions
The steady state and variable speed transient conditions of curved bevel gears are investigated.Un-der the steady state condition,it is found that the vibration displacement, velocity and dynamic meshing force of the gear pair exhibit periodic fluctuations;at the beginning and end of the meshing cycle, there are vibration shocks;in the time-domain analysis, the main amplitude of the dynamic meshing force is at the meshing frequen-cy(1916 Hz)and its multiple octaves, and the maximum amplitude occurs at 5 times the meshing frequency.Under the variable-speed transient condition, the uniform speed change process of the active wheel was simula-ted,and the variation of the angular velocity of the active wheel with time was observed. The results show that the variable speed transient triggers larger amplitude and dynamic engagement force fluctuations.
