The Present Research Concerning Engine Premixed Charge Compression Ignition
As a new combustion mode,Premixed Charge Compression Ignition(PCCI)could effectively reduce the harmful emissions of internal combustion engines.The effects of the three aspects on the injection strategy,exhaust gas recirculation(EGR)rate and fuel characteristics were systematically introduced.Reasonably controlling fuel injection strategy,optimizing the matching of injection strategy and combustion chamber,were the keys to reduce the emissions of PCCI,also could effectively increase the load range of PCCI.For different loads,optimizing the EGR rate was the key to reducing the compromise emissions of Nox and PM.Low distillate temperature and low cetane number fuels were more suitable for the PCCI.The use of new fuel to achieve PCCI would be the focus of future research.
