Experimental Study on N2O Emission Characteristics of Heavy-Duty Diesel Engine Meeting China Ⅵ Standard
Based on the cold/hot world harmonbised transient cycle(WHTC),the experimental study on N2O emission characteristics was performed on three heavy-duty diesel engines meeting China Ⅵ standard. The results show that the emission level of N2O under the cold/hot WHTC is similar to that of NOX.There has a high correlation between the N2O emission and the exhaust temperature. The N2O emissions under the cold WHTC are lower than that under the hot WHTC.The difference of N2O emission between the cold/hot WHTC is mainly reflected in the stage I.The sudden peak of N2O emission at the early stage of hot WHTC is related to excess urea injection remaining in the after-treatment system at the end of the cold WHTC.The urea with low concentration is beneficial for N2O reduction, but it also leads to an increase for the NOX emission.
